Morning departure at 9.30 am from Marrakech and start traveling Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the Tichka Pass (2260m) the highest road pass in Morocco. The panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and magnificent landscapes, scenery peppered by small Berber villages typical of the region. Then after reaching the peak of the Tizi Tichka we slowly start descending towards Ouarzazate. We will visit the extraordinary sight of the Atlas Mountains Kasbah Telouet. The crumbling Kasbah belonged to the powerful Glaoui tribe remembered as the “vulture” sultan and his son who lived there until the 1950’s. Once a beautiful Kasbah, but still worth the visit today as the history and drama will unfold itself. We will continue our trip via the Ounila Valley, route that offers unparalleled views of green valleys, river and remarkable colored slopes and hillsides.
We then reach another Ksar of Ait Benhaddou. It is one of the most spectacular sight of the High Atlas piled upon low hill above river. No one is really sure how old the Ksar is but there have been buildings here from at least the 16th century. It is collection of Kasbah that are among the most elaborately decorated and best preserved. Then it is a short drive to OUarzazate
Today we will be traveling along the Anti Atlas Mountains. First we reach the town of Taznakht that is well know for their handmade carpets and so many cooperatives can be find here.
Then along the strange rock mountains creation we reach Foum Zquid. Here the road will cease to exist as we in our off road car start making about 2hour drive to the camp in the heart of Erg Chigaga. At first we cross dried river beds (great area to look for fossils, ) fata morgana lake of Iriqui and then start seeing the first desert dunes, reaching the desert camp for the 2nights.
Here retreat to the comforts of your desert camp, given you the impression of being alone in the vast of the Sahar.
Today we will be celebrating the New Years Eve with the other campers
We will enjoy picnic lunch on the dunes and then return back to the desert camp.
Then we return back to camp. Here we can either do some sandboarding at the camp, or just relax by the desert dunes or enjoy the tented swimming pool
As evening falls down we enjoy 3 -course dinner and special entertainment will be provided around campfire with music, drums, and singing from our Berber guides.

Today after breakfast we head off into the vastness of the dunes on a camel caravan accompanied by camelteers. The sturdy camel has been a mainstay of desert life over the centuries, being used to ship the precious cargoes from Sub Saharan African to the trading ports of the Mediterranean coast. You can ride or walk alongside as you slip into the pace of the caravan led by Berber guides and marvel at the awesome spectacle of the desert and the solitude a silence that comes with it.
We can possible visit one Nomadic family living in the area.
We will enjoy picnic lunch on the dunes and then return back to the desert camp.
In the afternoon you can either do some sandboarding at the camp or for trekking thought the desert or relax at the many areas spread around the camp, read book/magazine.
As evening falls down we enjoy 3 -course dinners and then special entertainment will be provided around campfire with music, drums, and singing from our Berber guides.
Then we continue our journey to cross the Sahro volcanic mountains ,scenery full of superb gorges and hills. The region is dotted with Kasbahs, mud-brick villages, and fertile valleys, which are a delight for photographers. Little pass Nekob we arrive to the oasis in the Draa Valley one of Morocco’s beautiful oases, offering weary travellers a chance to rest and enjoy the abundance of nature. The area boasts a rich concentration of date palms, and almond, fig and olive trees. We arrive at stunning lodge right in the oasis of palm trees.

Leaving the desert we travel via another off road this time to Mhamid. Here we meet with the pave road and continue further North. We start seeing the first palm grove trees of the Draa Oasis dotted by many mud brick villages.
We stop in Tamegroute to view the ancient pottery artisiana where the green dishes are made from local clay collect from the river beds, spin in classic pottery wheels and burn in earthy ovens.
The views will start getting more and more impressive till we reach an ancient our hotel that is located right inside the palm groves.
Leaving the Kasbahs behind, we set off on a dramatic drive to cross over the High Atlas Mountains, and the views get more and more impressive. We arrive in Marrakech.
