Day by Day
Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga
Departure at 8:30 am from Riad Karawan. Travel across Middle Atlas mountains, spot Barbary apes near Azrou, pass through Midelt, descend into Ziz Valley oasis, and reach the luxury desert camp in Merzouga with king-size beds and ensuite bathroom.
Day 2: Merzouga Sand Sea
Sunrise photography in the dunes. Camel caravan into Erg Chebbi. Picnic lunch on the dunes. Sandboarding or relax at camp. Evening 3-course dinner and entertainment around campfire with Berber guides.
Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Sahro Mountains – Draa Valley
Travel to Todra Gorge, hike and photograph the dramatic cliffs. Continue over Sahro volcanic mountains and arrive at Dar Hnini lodge in the Draa Valley oasis. Relax and enjoy hammam. Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 4: Draa Valley – Agdz – Ouarzazate – Ait BenHaddou – Marrakech
Travel along the valley and Sub Saharan villages, cross barren mountains to Ouarzazate, visit Ait BenHaddou Kasbah, then cross High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech. Breakfast included.
